Climate control for military vehicles, equipment and vessels -for the tropics and extreme heat.
Modern military vehicles and vessels -with their high performance engines, sealed cabins and sensitive electronic and communications equipment plus  the crews that operate or travel in them - have to function in extremely difficult environments. Extreme conditions of heat, high humidity and inadequate ventilation compromise not only vehicle, vessel and crew effectiveness but also risk mission critical electronics failure.

Webasto has extensive experience in military vehicle tropicalisation and has developed air conditioning and integrated climate control systems for both upgrading of  current vehicles and also bespoke systems, developed in conjunction with vehicle manufacturers.Webasto now also offers excellent solutions for air conditioning systems for use in fast patrol vessels for naval and coastguard services worldwide.

External roof mount units are ideal for vehicles where internal space is at a premium; where air transportability and vehicle design profile are important, internal roof mount units are also an option. Webasto also offers split systems for larger, multi compartment vehicles. For compact, fully integrated units, Webasto has designed a range of HVACs, in partnership with vehicle manufacturers.

Webasto air conditioning systems for fast patrol vessels offer excellent solutions in terms of performance, weight and durability. Webasto chilled water units are significantly lighter than classic open type compressor systems. With the biggest capacity per volume, they are based on SCROLL rotary compressors, used in heavy industrial and military applications.
